The Android SDK is the collection of a debugger, Android libraries, a device emulator, documentation, sample code, and tutorials. We cannot develop any application without the SDK.
Downloading the Android SDK: To download the Android SDK, we have to follow some steps:
- Go to https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html.
- Select the latest version of the SDK starter package for our platform to download the SDK. Now we have downloaded the Android SDK.
- Open the SDK manager.
- For Windows: Run the SDK installer and install the SDK to the default location or location that we want. When finished, we have to check the Start SDK manager check box and click on Next button. If we are prompt to accept the authenticity of the file then click on Yes button. The Android SDK manager dialog box opens.
